BILSTEIN NORTH AMERICA, Inc. ("BILSTEIN") recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy. This privacy policy (the "Privacy Policy") describes the types of information about you that BILSTEIN collects and the ways in which it processes and otherwise uses such information. This Privacy Policy does only apply to this domestic website of BILSTEIN. By visiting and/or using BILSTEIN’s website at www.bilstein-north-america.com ("Site”), you agree to accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

     

  1. Information Collected By BILSTEIN

    In connection with your use of the Site BILSTEIN may collect certain data and other information about you ("User Information"). User Information may include, without limitation, the following:


       

    • Personally Identifiable Information.

      BILSTEIN collects personally identifiable information (“Personally Identifiable Information”) that you provide voluntarily,a such as when you send an email to BILSTEIN. Personally Identifiable Information may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, email address, and phone number. Information such as your fax number and cell phone number is voluntary. If you contact BILSTEIN, by email or regular mail, BILSTEIN may keep a record of your correspondence. You are not required to provide Personally Identifiable Information in order to access the Site.


    • Non-Identifying Information.

      When you visit the Site, BILSTEIN may track and analyze non identifying information and aggregate usage and statistical information (collectively “Non-Identifying Information”) from you and provide such Non-Identifying Information to third parties. BILSTEIN may collect information including but not limited to Internet Protocol Addresses (IP address) and domain name, the pages of the Site you visited, the date, time and the order in which you visited the pages of the Site in order to analyze trends, administer the site, track your movement, and gather information on aggregate use. IP addresses will not be linked to personally identifiable information. Non-Identifying Information is used by BILSTEIN to monitor and improve the Site. BILSTEIN may provide Non-Identifying Information to third parties to provide specific services to BILSTEIN.

      From time to time, BILSTEIN may use "cookies", which are small text files placed on your computer hard drive by a web server. Cookies are intended to help BILSTEIN determine the type of content and sites which you navigate and the length of time you spend at any particular area of the Site and to assist BILSTEIN in making its Site more user friendly. Your can generally decided whether you permit your web browser to accept cookies. Once you accepted a cookie you are also in control of deleting a cookie from your computer hard drive.     • Children.

      BILSTEIN takes the protection of children and the privacy of children very seriously. Therefore BILSTEIN does not knowingly collect Personally Identifiable Information from children under 13 years of age. Children under the age of 13 should not use the website and should not transmit any information via the Site. A child over the age of 13 and under the age of 18 may only use this site with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian. Parents are encouraged to take appropriate steps to ensure their children’s appropriate use of the internet.

BILSTEIN will not disclose, use, copy, distribute, publish, modify or otherwise process any Personally Identifiable Information submitted by you in a manner inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.


    Notwithstanding the foregoing BILSTEIN may:


       

    • disclose Personally Identifying Information as required by law, including but not limited to compliance with warrants, subpoenas or other legal process.


    • retain, use and process Personally Identifying Information after any termination or expiration of any non-exclusive limited license provided to you in a manner consistent herewith.


    • disclose Personally Identifying Information directly to its affiliates, subsidiaries and partners in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.

  4. Use of Non-Identifying Information

    BILSTEIN may provide Non-Identifying Information to third parties in the form of aggregate data, in order for such third parties to provide specific services to BILSTEIN such as monitoring web traffic and administration of the website.


  5. Sites of Third Parties

    To the extent that the Site provides links to websites of foreign BILSTEIN websites and of third parties, BILSTEIN is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of such websites. You are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies of any websites you access.

    BILSTEIN may protect certain information you provide by Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") or other encryption mechanisms. Notwithstanding BILSTEIN’s security measures, the nature of the Internet means that your data and your computer are potentially accessible by third parties, such as computer hackers.

    Your use of the Site is subject to your acceptance of this Privacy Policy and BILSTEIN’s Terms of Use as in effect from time to time. BILSTEIN makes no representations that the Site or any Content is appropriate, legal or available for use outside the United States.
